A program, “The Journey that Saved Curious George” will be held at the Bedford Public Library on November 13 at 6:00 p.m. This is the story of World War II through the adventure of Curious George’s creators, H.A. and Margret Rey, as they escaped Hitler’s advancing army. Kael Sagheer from the Institute for Holocaust Education in Omaha, Nebraska combines world history and the Rey’s dramatic experience to explain how, when and why George became adored by readers all over the world.
