A funeral service to celebrate Bonnie French’s life of love, honor, and devotion was held at 2:00PM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Presbyterian Church, 405 West Michigan, Lenox.
Bonnie was born April 28, 1943 and she went to be with her Lord and Savior January 12, 2020.
Arrangements were entrusted to Richie Funeral Home of Lenox where we “Celebrate Life”.
The family requests memorials be made in Bonnie’s name to EveryStep Hospice.
Bonnie Theresa French (Riedl), daughter of Frank and Lucille Riedl of Kansas City, Missouri was born April 28, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the third of eight children.
Bonnie graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City.
She married Bennett A. French on January 20, 1962 and the couple was blessed with six children.
Bonnie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and she was faithful to her Christian faith.
She was skilled with her crafts and caring for and growing her flowers and plants.
She loved the outdoors, fishing, swimming, and boating.
She loved music and dancing.
She loved birds, fed wild birds and had several birds as pets over the years.
She loved children and cherished her time serving as an aide for the Lenox Elementary School.
She was deeply faithful in her belief in Christ and the Trinity.
Her life was unselfish as she focused her life on her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bonnie’s family was blessed to have her in their lives. She was beautiful inside and out. It was a privilege to share that unmatched beauty.
She succumbed to cancer and went quietly to be with her Savior.
Bonnie was a stay-at-home mother, yet she found time to help Ben with their businesses: Forsythe-French-Inc., and Bennett French and Associates.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister Barbara, her older brother Frank, and her baby sister Becky.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Ben, daughters Tammy Hickman (husband Alan), Esther Schmitz (husband Rick), sons Dennis, Bennett (wife Rachel), Frank (wife Tammy), and Trevor (husband Greg), 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
