Council agrees to hire engineering firm for trailer park; city cleanup set

The Lenox City Council agreed to hire an engineering firm for development of the former trailer park, set city-wide cleanup for May 26 through June 2, and approved to continue with Wellmark for employees’ health insurance at their May 11 meeting
Allison Kitzman, city administrator, talked about two different ways they could use to develop the former trailer park. It needs to be divided into lots and a street constructed. Kitzman said they could have a surveying crew come in or they could hire an engineering firm.
A surveying crew would provide a plat and the city would take that to the courthouse and that area would become a subdivision.
An engineering firm would come in and they would divide it into lots, as well as provide engineering specs on a road, sewer, and water.
