Lenox BB/SB Spectator Guidelines

Mandy Stoaks, Lenox Community School Athletic Director, has released the following guidelines for spectators attending Tiger baseball/softball games, as outlined by the state athletic association. Games begin June 15.
General
• bide by posted signage.
• Be patient and use common sense.
• Practice social distancing (limit groups to single households).
• Accept personal responsibility for following public health guidelines.
Stay home if you show symptoms or if you have been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
• We plan to live stream all regular season varsity home games (JV games pending).  Please check the school website for the streaming link.
Admission
• Adults will be charged $5.  Students are free.
• If possible, please bring exact change to limit the contact with our ticket takers.
• School summer activity and Pride of Iowa Conference passes will be accepted like normal.
Concessions
• Per guidelines issued by the Iowa Department of Education and Department of Public Health, we will not be operating a concession stand this summer.
• Coolers will be permitted.
• Food and drink should not be shared with others outside of your household group.
• Beverages must be appropriate for school property.
• Sunflowers seeds are prohibited.
Restrooms
• Restrooms will be available beyond the centerfield fence of the softball field
• They will be cleaned and sanitized daily
• Please stand outside to wait your turn
Baseball Field
• Since the bleachers cannot be removed, bleacher seating will be available from dugout to dugout for spectators.  Please follow social distancing guidelines while in the bleachers.
• No lawn chairs will be allowed in front of the bleachers.
• The home dugout will be extended from the north end of the dugout towards the outfield fence.  No spectators will be allowed north of the dugout.
• The visitor dugout will be extended from the east end of the dug out towards the outfield fence.  This area will be marked.  No spectators are allowed in this area.
• Spectators can sit in lawn chairs beyond the extended dugouts.
• If ground conditions are good, trucks may back up to the outfield fence.  Please be respectful of the athletes.
• Only essential personnel will be allowed in the dugout (players, coaches, trainers).
• Only essential personnel will be allowed in the press box (announcer, stat keeper, scoreboard operator, & live stream videographer).
Softball Field
• There will be no bleachers available at the softball field.
• Dugouts will be extended toward the outfield fence for both sides.  This area will be marked.  No spectators will be allowed in these areas.
• Spectators can sit in lawn chairs in the area behind the backstop and in the outfield.  Please follow social distancing guidelines.
• Vehicles may park in the leftfield area if ground conditions are good.  However they must allow plenty of space in front of them for lawn chair spectators.
• Only essential personnel will be allowed in the dugout (players, coaches, trainers).
• Only essential personnel will be allowed in the press box (announcer, stat keeper, scoreboard operator, & live stream videographer).
Foul Balls
• Spectators are asked to leave foul balls alone for game management or team members to retrieve.
• If you do happen to grab a foul ball, it has to be returned to the defensive team’s dugout to be sanitized.
