Clearfield plans Fourth of July events with some changes

The 67th annual Fourth of July parade will go on in Clearfield!
Clearfield Lions Club made the decision to have their Fourth of July parade; however, the parade will be held a little later on July 4 and some activities will not be held this year due to the pandemic.
Events kick off on July 3 with the popular Truck and Tractor Pull at 7:00 p.m. It is sanctioned by the Northwest Missouri Tractor Pullers Association. Classes will be: 8500 Pro Farm Tractor; 8500 Pro Field Pump Tractor; Open Class; 500 Pro Field Pump Tractor; 2.6” Turbo Diesel Pickup; and 8200 Limited Pro Stock Tractor.
Food trucks and concessions will be on site.

Sandlot volleyball begins at 9 a.m. on July 4. Contact Daniel Leonard at 641-344-3458 for more information. A Bags Tournament will be held from 3-4 p.m. Sign up for the Bags Tournament is at Bootleggers Bar & Grill. Contact Chris Leonard at 402-650-1557. Cost is $20 per team. A dunk tank starts at 5 p.m.
Parade theme is “Honoring Our Heroes on the Front Line” and all parade entries were required to register online by June 30. Organizers are following CDC guidelines by not having registration the day of the parade. The parade will start at 8 p.m. and those participating need to line up by 7:30 p.m.
