Girls’ Bowling Team makes history, qualify for state

The Lenox Tiger girls bowling team punched their ticket to the State Bowling Tournament, the first bowling team to qualify for state. The team competed at state in Waterloo on Monday morning and bowled at 8:30.

The Lenox Girls’ Bowling Team made history on Tuesday by being the first Lenox Bowling Team to qualify for state.  The team bowled a season high at the right time to edge Clarinda by 71 pins.
The team bowled a total pin count of 2374.  Every girl on the team bowled great games.
Hallie Claiser led the way for tigers with a team high series of (347), Chelsey Hoakison bowled (331), Ashlee David bowled a (320), Abbie Notz bowled a (304), Austen David bowled a (286), and Takota Cordell bowled a (264).  The baker scores for the girls were 189, 167, 125, 150, and 155, with a total baker score of 786.  The girls will bowl at state in Waterloo, Monday at 8:30 a.m.
