Clearfield City Council votes to borrow money to pay gas bill

Clearfield City Council met in special session on Tuesday, March 2 to discuss the high natural gas bill for February.
The council voted to borrow $135,000 from State Savings Bank for up to six months. The mayor and city clerk will sign the loan papers.
The council also approved to serve as fiscal sponsor for the Clearfield Lions Club for a Taylor County Endowment grant. If they are awarded the grant, Jack Beggs will be responsible for completing the work and filling out the necessary grant paperwork at the end of the project.
