Memorial Cele-bration of Life Services for Monica Tvinnereim, age 67, of Lenox, who passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines was held Saturday at March 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Ritchie Funeral Home in Lenox. Visitation was Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time, with the family greeting friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be given in Monica’s name. Memories may be shared with the family at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com under Obituaries. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox where we ‘Celebrate Life’.
Monica Laurayne (Stroburg) Tvinnereim was born May 10, 1953, in Clarinda, Iowa the daughter of Eldon Stroburg and Mary (Johnston) Stroburg. She grew up in the Blockton area attending Bedford Community Schools, graduating with the Class of 1971. Later in life Monica was blessed with the birth of three children, Tony, Angie and Abby. Monica held various positions over the years, working at Brown Bear, Sheridan Egg Company and O’Hara’s. On July 26, 1986, she was united in marriage to Ron Tvinnereim at the Bedford Christian Church. To this loving union a son, Eric was born.
The family lived in Mapleton, Iowa, Bloomington, Illinois, and later settled in Lenox. Monica enjoyed gardening and was a very talented artist. She enjoyed planning out the remodeling of their homes, and was also an avid reader. Her true passion in life was sharing her life with her children and later her grandchildren.
Left to cherish the memories of a wonderful wife, daughter, mother and grandmother are her husband Ron Tvinnereim of Lenox, Iowa; her children Tony Konecne and wife Abby and their children, Kyle, Tara, Noah and Sola of Ankeny, Iowa; Angie Konecne and Darin Myers and their children, Molly, Bret, Jack and Connor of Lenox, Iowa; Abby Black and her children, Joey and Anna of Lenox, Iowa; Eric Tvinnereim; her father, Eldon Stroburg of Blockton, Iowa; two sisters, Sue Harder and husband Billy of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Peggy Stroburg of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Jeff Stroburg and wife Nancy of Richmond, Virginia; along with many other family members and friends.
Preceding Monica in death is her mother, Mary Stroburg; both her maternal and paternal grandparents; a nephew, Mason Fugle; her in-laws, Ruben and Irene Tvinnereim; and a brother-in-law, Darwin Tvinnereim.
We will forever hold the precious memories of Monica in our hearts.
