Come and Go Community Baby Shower focuses on promoting prenatal and healthy families

A Come and Go Community Baby Shower will focus on promoting prenatal health and working with families with children up to 12 months who live in Taylor County. The shower is a cooperative effort between Quad Counties 4 Kids Early Childhood Iowa, Taylor County Extension Growing Strong Families, and Taylor County Public Health. The shower is a way to provide a fun activity and, at the same time, get the word out to young families about resources that are available to them locally.
The shower will be held in Lenox on Wednesday, October 13 at the Lenox United Methodist Church and on Monday, November 1 at the Bedford Methodist Church. Times are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at both locations. Pre-registered families will be eligible for drawings for a chance to win a baby monitor, high chair, Pack and Play, or backpack diaper bag. Pre-registration also helps them to know how many will be attending. The Come and Go Shower will also offer a variety of free baby items including diapers, wipes, books, toothbrushes, and various other items along with resources and support materials. Families can attend one event only. Refreshments will be served.
Registration deadlines are October 8 for the Lenox shower and October 27 for Bedford. You can call or text 712-427-0085.
