FFA Fundraiser brings in $4,800 for program

Generosity was abundant at Friday night’s auction of the pedal tractor. The tractor, donated by Brantley Davison, was restored to like-new condition by Hunter Blackford (left) and Evan Murphy with the intent to auction it off to raise funds for Bedford’s FFA program. The tractor sold twice, the first time to Jerry and Teresa Murphy for $3,200, was donated back and sold again for $1,600 to Steve Smith, bringing a total of $4,800. Following in his dad, Russele Sleep’s footsteps, Porter conducted the auction the second time.
