Lenox Golf Starts 2023

The Lenox Tiger golf team is off and swinging in 2023 with meets in Creston and Afton this past week. The Tigers coached by Tiffany Weller and Caleb Lange are off to a good start with room to improve after the first week of competition. The first meet of the year was postponed due to weather, but the Tigers were able to compete in the East Union Meet Monday evening against East Union, Creston, Clarke, and Winterset. The boys team finished with a 249 total score. Senior Aiden Eggert shot a 57, sophomore Patton Adams shot a 60, sophomore Daysen Gregg also had a 60, and senior Trayce Miller had a 72. The lone Lenox female golfer, sophomore Hadlee Christensen, finished with a 77.
Tuesday Lenox boys and girls golf traveled to East Union and Creston to play in the first ever Tri-County Golf Tournament against East Union and Creston. Nine holes were played in Afton and nine holes were played in Creston. The boys started in Creston and moved to Afton, while the girls started in Afton and moved to Creston. Hadlee Christensen finished with a 73 at Afton, and a 63 at Creston, but failed to place individually. Senior Samson Adams led the Tiger boys team with a 54 in Creston before having to leave for a track meet. Aiden Eggert finished with a 109 total, Daysen Gregg finished with a 113, Patton Adams had a 115, and Trayce Miller rounded things out with a 137. None of the boys placed in the top six individually.
