Clearfield City Council approves to spend ARPA funds; adds dumpster fee

Clearfield City Council held a short meeting on May 17 and approved an amendment to the budget, ordinances for dumpster fees and ARPA funds.
The council approved a budget amendment to include the purchase of a commercial mower, expending SLFRP funds and donations grant funds for park improvements, along with unexpected sewer repairs.
Two ordinances were approved. The first one adds a $20 dumpster fee for each dumpster delivered to the City of Clearfield. The second ordinance approved to spend American Rescue Plan funds. Clearfield received a total of $51,286.38. The council agreed to spend $40,675.31 on sanitary sewer infrastructure project and $10,611.07 on public safety response project.
In other business, the council:
-approved a fireworks permit for Fourth of July.
-approved a building permit for Bob Campbell.
