Bulldogs Ground Eagles
By Jason Bucher
The Bedford Bulldogs did not let a little pregame rain dampen their homecoming spirits last Friday as they hosted the 2-1, (1-1) East Union Eagles for a District 8 showdown. The Bulldogs were able to dominate the football game in every facet holding the opponent to 163 yards, forcing two turnovers, seven punts, and giving up only five first downs enroute to a 52-6 Bulldog victory. The Bulldog faithful flooded the Dawg pound to watch as Silas Walston returned the opening kick out to the Bulldog nineteen where he slipped on the wet grass. The Bulldogs then went to work as the offensive line of Tate Rowan, Miles White and Gavin Neely overpowered the opponent using an eleven play drive to plow down the field.
