Lenox Volleyball Beats Creston

Our lady Lenox Tiger Volleyball team was in action this past Saturday in a big tournament in Red Oak. The Tigers were the only class 1A team in a field of 4A and 5A schools. The girls held their own but fell to Mount Vernon, Council Bluffs Lincoln, and Clarinda; but turned the tide against Creston. Lenox won the first game 21-15 and the second 22-20 to win the match in straight sets over the Panthers.
Sophomore setter Delaney Funk set up nine assists in the contest with the majority of them going to junior hitter Izzy Curtis. Curtis led the team with six kills, senior Homecoming Queen Gabby Robles had five slams, and junior Sadie Cox chipped in four.
On the defensive side Gabby Robles led with 12 digs, junior Zoey Reed had nine, Sadie Cox had seven, and junior Aubri Mohr had six from the back row. From the service line the Tigers had three aces from Funk, Reed, and Robles in the win. Tiger Pride!
