Tiger Football Wins Big

By Tyler Peterson
The Lenox Tiger football team moved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in district play by winning at Southeast Warren last Friday night.  The Tigers scored 12 in the first quarter and another 12 in the second quarter to hold a 24-0 lead at halftime. The Tiger offense was clicking on all cylinders, other than a couple two-point conversion tries, in the first half. The Tiger defense also was great holding SEW to zero at halftime.  The Tiger ‘D’ held the Warhawks inside the Lenox ten yard line on downs, and the offense quickly scored again on a long run from junior quarterback Gabe Funk to make big statements on both sides of the ball in the second quarter. In the third quarter the Tigers scored another three touchdowns while the Warhawks put up two scores, and in the final tilt the Tigers scored twice more to  Southeast Warren’s one touchdown in the fourth to make the final score 60-18.

The Tigers will return back home to close out the regular season in ‘The Jungle’ as the Demons from Lamoni (3-4) come to town on Senior Night. Tiger Pride!
