Bonnie Schrader, 84

Funeral Celebration of Life Services for Bonnie Schrader, age 84, of Lenox, who passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in Mount Ayr were held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the United Presbyterian Church in Lenox. Visitation was held one hour prior to services. Interment was held at North Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Church in Lenox. Bonnie Sue Mildred (Tully) Schrader was born on February 15, 1940, to Donald Tully and Mineva (Douglas) Tully. She grew up attending country school and later graduated from Lenox Community High School. Bonnie married Larry Dale Schrader on November 18, 1956, at her parent’s home. Together, they were blessed with seven children; Kirk, Brent, Shane, Todd, Troy, Shad and Tina. The family cherished their life on the farm, and later, Bonnie enjoyed her role as a cook for the Lenox Public School System.
Bonnie was a devoted member of the United Presbyterian Church in Lenox. She and Larry enjoyed cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Lenox Tigers. They also loved traveling on several bus tours and celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Branson.
Bonnie is survived by her seven children: Kirk (Susan) Schrader of Urbandale, Iowa; Brent (Laura) Schrader of Stanton, Iowa; Shane (Renee) Schrader of Bedford, Iowa; Todd (Sandy) Schrader of Bolivar, Missouri; Tina (Jerry) Ecklin of Diagonal, Iowa; Troy Schrader of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and Shad (Lori) Schrader of North Liberty, Iowa. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, including AJ (Erika) Schrader, Noelle Schrader, Nicole (Jesse) Cunningham, Baylee Byers, David Byers, Morgan (Triston) Schrader, Taylor Schrader (Karla Michael), Evan (Jess) Rand, Jenni (Daniel) Bayless, Shanna (Clint) Bolen, Rachel (Dawson) Urrutia, Jenna (Nick) Brown, Dana Ecklin, Takoda Schrader, Eva Schrader, and Weston Schrader. Her great-grandchildren include Maddy Schrader, Laytyn Schrader, Olivia Cunningham, Channing Cunningham, Jett Rand, Joel Rand, Hartley Rand, Trenton Michael, Braydon Michael, Granton Bayless, Kaylynn Bayless, Carver Bayless, Skylar Henenberg, Kenton Bolen, Peighton Bolen, Emmy Bolen, Winnie Urrutia, Opal Urrutia, Emma Brown,
Laine Brown, Nikenna Brown, Alana Brown, and Wyatt Ecklin, as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mineva Tully; her beloved husband, Larry Schrader, in 2012; and two grandchildren, Clinton and Dallas Schrader; and her sister Gwen Maynes.
We will forever hold the precious memory of Bonnie in our hearts.
