Mark Daniel Kemery was born September 6, 1970 at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa, the son of Daniel and Linda (Hughes) Kemery. He graduated from Lenox High School in 1989. On January 2, 1994, he married Elayne Schutt from New Market, Iowa, during a snowstorm.
In 1990, Mark graduated from SWCC in Creston, completing the Auto Body Repair course. Mark moved to Winterset where he worked for Winterset Auto until they closed. He later worked for Holmes Honda, Billon Auto in Des Moines and lastly for Willis Auto in Clive. Thanks to Willis Auto all the great support you gave Mark!
Mark was a hard worker. He enjoyed spending his time tinkering on anything with an engine and took “great pleasure” fixing all the things Elayne and Katie broke on the acreage. Mark was a homebody and enjoyed just sitting under the Maples drinking cheap beer. He also loved animals, especially his dogs. Above all else, Mark cherished time with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
Mark is survived by his wife, Elayne Kemery of Earlham; daughter, Katherine (Clark) Newbury of Winterset; mother, Linda (Hughes) Kemery of Lenox; brother, Matthew (Danelle) Kemery of Lenox; nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel “Danny” Kemery in 1978.
May you rest in peace, Mark.
