John “Jack” E. Jones

John “Jack” E. Jones, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, at the age of 88.
Jack was born on December 6, 1935, to Eldon Paul Jones and Eva Nellie Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanette Jones Philips, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Geraldine “Jerry” Stoaks Jones, and his children Timothy John Jones (Teresa), Jacqueline “Jackie” (Scott Bryant), Jodene “Jody” (Steve Gerardy), and sister in-law Peggy (Ray Bradley). Jack was a cherished grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was a familiar face in his community, known for his heartfelt rendition of the Lord’s Prayer during church services and his frequent appearances at the Tiger Den. His grandchildren and family fondly recall his soulful singing of prayers during holidays and gatherings. Jack was a versatile individual, skilled in many trades, and always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Funeral services will be held on April 29th at 2pm at United Methodist Church in Lenox, IA. Contributions to his memorial fund may be sent to Jerry Jones, in memory of Jack at 406 W. Ohio, Lenox, IA 50851.
