Bulldogs Win Corner Conference Tournament

     The Bulldogs traveled to Griswold on Friday, June 26 to take on the Stanton Vikings in the Corner Conference Championship. The Bulldogs scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first when Ashton got things started with a walk before Dalton was hit by a pitch. Reynolds then singled and scored Ashton and Dalton for a 2-0 lead for the Bulldogs. Brantley started the bottom of the second with a single. Kaleb Johnson then singled before Meyer walked the bases loaded. Ashton then walked to score his younger brother, Brantley. Dalton singled to score Johnson for a 4-0 lead going into the third inning. The Bulldogs added another run in the bottom of the third for a 5-0 lead.
     The bottom of the fourth started with walks from Meyer and Ashton. Deemer singled to score Meyer before Reynolds singled and scored Nally and Deemer for an 8-0 advantage for the Bulldogs.      The Bulldogs scored 1 run in the bottom of the fifth and 1 run in the bottom of the sixth to end the game early due to the 10 run rule.
     Ashton scored 3 runs on 3 walks. Dalton had 1 sac bunt, 2 RBI and scored 1 run. Deemer had 1 hit (1B), 2 RBI and scored 1 run. Reynolds had 2 hits (1B), 1 walk, 4 RBI and scored 1 run. Drake scored 1 run on 2 walks. Powell had 1 RBI. Brantley had 1 hit (1B) and 1 RBI. Johnson had 1 hit (1B) and scored 1 run. Meyer had 2 walks and scored 2 runs. Wyckoff had 1 hit (1B). Dalton was on the mound for the Bulldogs giving up only 5 hits and 3 walks while collecting 7 strikeouts. Congratulations to the Bulldogs on winning the Corner Conference Tournament!
