School board approves bids for vehicle repairs, school fees

Bids for vehicle repairs, fuel, and school fees were among the topics discussed during the Lenox School Board meeting on June 10.
Superintendent Dave Henrichs reviewed bids for vehicle repair, fuel, tires, milk and bread. The board approved the following bids:
-Tires/tire repair – Petersen Tire.
-Oil changes – Sweeney Repair for smaller vehicles. Dan Walston will take care of oil changes for the larger vehicles as part of the sharing agreement for transportation director with Bedford.
-Towing – Sweeney Repair for cars and vans. No bids received for larger vehicles.
-Vehicle repair – Sweeney Repair for cars and vans; Hawhee Truck Repair for buses, as needed.
-Gasoline – New Cooperative submitted a bid for fuel which would be located on site. The school must have fuel barrels on site and there will be no card system available to track expenses. Electrical service to the tanks would also be required.  MFA Oil submitted three options with one paying current fuel price minus a .05 cent discount at their Petro Card 24 hour fuel site.
